Anzac Day: The March
Anzac Day: The March
Venture to the heart of Perth to witness the Anzac Day March starting from the corner of Barrack Street and St Georges Terrace at 9 am sharp and concluding at Langley Park.
The March is an opportunity to recognise our service men and women in a show of camaraderie and commemoration. Observe Navy, Army, Air Force, veterans serving in different conflicts, vehicles, emergency services, and much more. All are welcome and encouraged to attend the March on Anzac Day!
Anzac Day marches are a longstanding tradition. You will find services marching all around the country, from the smallest towns to our largest cities. You can find listed Anzac Day events around Australia from the Anzac Spirit website.
MARCH INSTRUCTIONS
The March Group & Band registrations are closed. Please contact events@rslwa.org.au for any group enquiries.
Individual registrations are open!
1. Prepare to March
Review the Order of March, the March Map (with form-up section markers), and the March Protocols. There will be road closures on the day, so be sure to plan ahead to arrive on time.
2. March Groups Arrive and Check-In
Only the registered Primary or Secondary contact of your March group or band is responsible for checking your group in on the day. Arrive and check-in at the registration desk at Allendale Square, 77 St Georges Tce from 8:00 am – 8:30 am. Road closures will be in place so it’s important to plan ahead.
3. Form-up at your Section Marker
Gather your March Group or Band and form up in order at your form-up marker by 8:45 am. As seen in the Order of March. Follow the instructions of the March Marshalls on the day.
4. Step-off at 9:00 am sharp
The head of the March will step-off at 9:00 am sharp. Ensure that your group or band is ready to go to avoid delays and gaps in the March column. Your group will march in order from your form-up section marker to the starting point on the corner of St Georges Tce and Barrack Street.
5. Langley Park Finish
Your Group will follow the march route down St Georges Tce, then Victoria Ave, and conclude at Langley Park. Please move out of the dispersal area to avoid congestion. There will be water stations and designated parking areas for vehicles.
